Dr. Trombetta is specially trained in the use of radiation for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, as well as the surgical delivery of radiation and in the treatment of all types of cancer. In addition to serving as System Director, Clinical Program Development of the West Penn Allegheny Radiation Oncology Network, Dr. Trombetta also serves as medical director for Trinity Medical System's Tony Teramana Cancer Center in Steubenville, Ohio. His special areas of interest include surgical brachytherapy, breast cancer, lung cancer, gynecologic oncology and IMRT.
A graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Trombetta completed an internship and residency in radiation oncology at Allegheny General. He is a member of the American Brachytherapy Society, American Medical Association and American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and a fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology.
